Don’t let the name fool you. There are many facets that make me, me. I am a mum, a wife and a daughter. I’m also a friend and try to make time to get out of the house to have fun and remind myself that I’m still relatively young!
I have a tendency to become immersed in things that interest me. Fashion, reading, whatever it may be – I’m an all or nothing kind of girl. I can also be a bit of a nerd and get great enjoyment from organising items in our home as well as researching obscure interior pieces online (and there seems to be a new piece that grabs my attention every few days). I’m also a full-time student which is as time-consuming as it sounds but is worth every minute for the satisfaction and growth it provides. Motherhood, however has been the one aspect of my life that is my greatest source of happiness, fulfilment and is my greatest inspiration.
Prior to having my two beautiful sons I was a happy, young woman working in the corporate world, in a great relationship with my now husband, socialising with a fantastic group of friends and super-close, tight-knit family. I was happy but I had no idea how much better it was going to get.
I’ve always loved to write but there was always a reason not to (and perhaps an underlying fear). Becoming a mother hasn’t eradicated all of my excuses but it’s completed me in a way that I have the confidence to do and be things that I wasn’t capable of before children entered the picture. Being a mother has made me look at the world through a completely different lens. ‘Why not?’ is so very often the answer that follows those questions that would previously cause so much internal doubt.
Which brings me to this blog. This is part love-letter to my family, a dash of lifestyle enhancing tips and a sprinkle of things that inspire me and may just help get us all through the day.
I look forward to sharing my loves, my joys and my interests with you through this journey and I hope you find something here to love also.
